A PAIR OF GILDED SATSUMA POTTERY VASES

This is a stunning example of a pair of Japanese Satsuma vases with a gilded and jewelled dragon.

It is signed on the underside.

I believe these were made in the mid 19th century based on similar examples but i am not 100% on that.

It has a design of the immortals on these stunning examples of Japanese Satsuma Pottery.

The intricate detail is stunning with hand painted typical Japanese figures and scenery.

It has many small strokes of gilding to add to the whole effect.

Around the neck and forming on the lip of both the vases is a jewel eyed gilded dragon.

They are in very good condition and are valued at around £130-£170

Satsuma Pottery is a type of Japanese earthenware which has a very distinct look to it, most often coined when referring to Japanese ware that has a cracked glaze and a very elaborate heavily gilded design.

You can't even correctly identify this Satsuma, yet have the nerve to charge for appraisals, LOL

Your dating is off by 30+ years, and your valuation is severely undervalued.

You're not even remotely qualified to appraise.
